you open Microsoft Word, press CONTROL+OPTION+M to get into the menus.
Keep the CONTROL and OPTION keys held down and arrow right to the help menu,
then arrow down and the “check for updates” option should be the last item in
the menu. With CONTROL and OPTION still held down, press the SPACEBAR
Hi Listers,
I've successfully installed Microsoft Word on my macbook pro. When I go to the
menubar and voiceover to the help menu, I can find the search field, I can type
the search term, but I can't seem to read any results. There's a table there
but it appears to be empty or voiceover

Hi.
Is there any improvements in microsoft word for mac? I have to use it, if it is
still not accessible I will have to work in windows, but that is not working so
well with braille especially not in danish, so therefore if there are any
possibilities that m.s. word for mac will work
Being that Microsoft has not released a new version since 2010 I suspect
VO support has not since been added.

I had a co-worker send me a Microsoft word file with documentation on
a process I am supposed to implement. Jaws however just says empty
page for all four pages. I am therefore assuming that screen image
captures were pushed into word. I don't really wnat to ask for a
resend of the document

If you have kurzweil1000 on the windows side, just run it through, if
nothing else works. But you should be able to open the file and do a save
as in to another format to read it! My teacher always seem to send me word

Hello Cathy,
I work on doc files all the time using Pages, which is part of iWork09. I find
that Pages keeps almost all the formatting intact.
TextEdit will also open doc files, so it all depends on what you want to do
with them. For just reading, TextEdit is the simplest and cheapest solution

Hi,
I had this same problem, with VO and Ms Word docs as well. THe only way I'm
able to read them and interact with them is to perform command shift down
arrow. I hope that helps.
