Hi, Just as a matter of interest to folks, cmd-period invokes the Cancel in most situations in the MacOS. So, getting out of dialogs etc should still be simple. Regarding the Escape key being mapped to specific actions, these actions will likely just be mapped to a different key combination.

Yup, bluetooth keyboards for sure, but really they should just skip dictation and go straight to telepathy. Of course they wouldn't want to do that since that would eliminate all their moneymaking tech. But I can think faster than type and I never have to correct a thought with autocorrect.
