Dora, If you have a mac book pro with optical drive then you should be able to go to 16gig of ram, and if your really keen, an ssd drive makes it even faster again to start up. As for pricing, I'm not Canadian but 2 8 gb SODIM ddr3 1600MHz shouldn't be overly costly for you, I know here in

The amount of RAM Fusion uses is based on how much RAM you assign to a particular virtual machine. You have to shut down the virtual machine and then play with the Processors RAM under Settings (Command-E). Of course you also have to judge whether more RAM on the Windows side will really make
