Usually the defaults work for me very well. Once you press the button to
either scan images to new document, you can hear the scanner perform one scan.
This I assume is some kind of a preparatory / exploratory thing. It also

I'm not aware of a tutorial for FineReader.
As for your second question, once the document has been scanned and processed,
the only way to hear it is to save it in one of the formats available through
the export dialog. Once it's saved, it will open in an appropriate application

Is there a tutorial I can listen to so that I can learn fine reader

You can also after the first scan, like suggested, convert without scanning
again every time.
1. Open Fine Reader Pro
2. Interact with the first table where mac and scanner is named. Make sure the
voice over focus is on the mac. Not the scanner.
3. Chose a formatø pdf, word, excel etc.

Hi Andrew,
Yes the export was what I needed, was looking for a convert option
which is why I did not think to try export. Works wonderfully and tried

I keep the Finereader documents until i know they are no longer needed.

I don't think there's any need to rescan the document provided the finereader

he has a copy in finereader format in which case there's no need for rescanning.

Hello there,
You need to rescan the original document and choose a different option for what
type of document you want it to scan in to.

Okay, if I do cmd-so after scanning, then I get more choices for formats,

Hello Cheryl,
Because FineReader Pro isn't localised into French, I had to go through it with

Hello Phil,
I assume you purchased Express via the web? Or does Abbyy’s site detect you
have it on the system? I purchased Express via the app store and the app store
are asking £69.99 for the pro. I do wish to purchase the pro version but would
like to get any discounts that are available.
I bought the express version from the website. I'm having a little trouble
getting the pro version working, but I'm sure I'll get it figured out - others
are using it successfully, so I will too.

I experience the new finereader as very accessible. If you have a supported
scanner, you can scan directly from a supported scanner without vuescan, this
is a major step forward.

I found a link on that Abby site but took me to the Apple Store. And there was
an extensive list of supported scanners. Plus tech was not in there. I'm on an

Hi.
You can scan multipage documents directly from finereader pro, and you can
