You can still get the old Downloads window back, if you want it badly enough. But it’s a fiddly thing: you have to drag and drop the Downloads button out of the toolbar, and doing that with VO is still surprisingly hard because you’ll usually activate it in the process. It’s easier just to

the way I do it is; command option l, then it says clear. Tab once and you get the downloads, tab once more and that’s where you find ou whether it has downloaded or not. If it says stop then it is still downloading and if it says show in finder then it is finished. If you VO right arrow to the

I can still get that if you mean the clicking sound that happens when a file is downloading. you press command-option-l. then I hear "clear downloads". it sounds like a command, like you're in history or something but actually you can vo-shift right or left and you have downloads and clear.

I'm still running Mojave. I'm downloading a file and I think it may have gotten stuck so I press command-option-l to check the status and I get things like "zoom out" and "make text smaller". seems like it might be a focus problem. how can I get it to show me what I want to see? thanks. Lorie
