I'm waiting for a new time capsule. I got the 2012 version as a gift and it has never failed me. I stay connected to it for up to 1000 feet, and it is upstairs in a back corner. Kliph Sent from my mobile office On Oct 26, 2016, at 6:08 PM, Scott Granados wrote:

Tim to go even more recent, the Apple Extreme still placed in the top 10 routers on PC Mag this year I believe. It’s an older AC 1300 design but still holds it’s own against many newer models. It’s not the most feature packed router in the world but as a basic router it’s fine and as an

Hi, I'll chime in quickly here with some actual data, albeit dated. I recall some tests over 10 years ago where a number of these devices were tested against the Airport Extreme, and the Extreme won in pretty well all categories. Being that it was over 10 years ago,, things have changed

Hi Scott and all, thanks for the router suggestions! I didn't even think about a web interface. I've heard really good things about the Netgear Nighthawk series, maybe I'll give one a try! Jeff On 10/25/16, Scott Granados wrote: > You might have smaller Wireless

Its been stable for some time, my email client used to complain quite often. Then recently, it appeared my Charter email account was not behaving reliably. Will have to see how this merger goes. Interesting that my iCloud and gMail accounts worked fine. I have no other options here

You know things like that are hit and miss. You’re testing the whole network between you and the speed test server rather than the speed of any specific link so you might get some idea but it depends on network conditions and any number of things. If you used Comcast for example you might

Most routers are very doable from the web interfaces. The ones I’d suggest are the Netgear Nighthawk 7800 series or the DLink DIR-897/lr or Asus has an 88U model that is highly rated although I have not tried it’s web interface personally. Thanks Scott > On Oct 25, 2016, at 4:22 PM, E.T.
