versions have the same name. How do I see different versions of that document?
Also, I noticed that the save in Text edit does not seem to behave in the usual

I'm actually going to end up doing something very similar myself. I'm going to
clone the drive first and I suspect pulling all my user data (not application

which your old volume was made. Then, you just manually move over the stuff
you want to kepe from that volume. Now, since the new install will work much
better, completely erase the backup and do the hole thing
