Donna, Have you tried both the right and left option keys? And do you have Keyboard Commander enabled? I may be off track here, but in VO Utilities, under Commanders, with Keyboard Commander enabled, you get to choose which option key is used for what you want to do. Maybe you had this set up

A month ago, I would have told you not to upgrade. Right now, there are a couple of unlabeled buttons in mail between the headers and the mail content. There is also an issue with arrow keys not working in column view in the finder. This second issue can be worked around by using the VO key
