Re: QuentinC's Play room?

2023-04-03 Thread bbsshawn via MacVisionaries
Hi. I know this is late but I find when using the Playroom on Safari with
screen reader mode which of course uses Voiceover, speech interrupts itself
when I play games on it. My speech is at a normal rate which is what I like so
that could be the problem. For that I use Microsoft Edge with the self voicing
option. It works very well although I wish I could use Control+Function+Page
Down to jump to the end of the message history.

Question about Voiceover issue when starting my Macbook Pro

2023-04-03 Thread Robert Hill
Hi everyone,

Having a brain cramp on an issue starting my MacBook Pro with VoiceOver.
Somehow my settings got changed so when I start my computer I hear VoiceOver
on, then "speech off".
What keystrokes do I use to get speech turned back on?

Thanks.

Bob Hill

Re: tabs in Safari on an iPhone

2023-04-03 Thread Michael Babcock
If you’d like your tabs to automatically be closed on your iPhone, access settings. Then, choose Safari, and under the tabs heading you’ll find a button that will say something similar to.Close Tabs Choose this button to determine how often safari automatically closes tabs.Note, if you triple tap or double tap and hold on the tabs button in the lower right hand corner if your tabs bars at the bottom of the screen, there’s an option to close all tabs. I hope this helps and you have a beautiful day!Sent from my iPhoneOn Apr 3, 2023, at 6:41 AM, Jonathan Cohn wrote:I believe there is an option in the options to expire tabs after a time period.

Re: Seeking a TwistedWave Tutorial

2023-04-03 Thread 'Janina Sajka' via MacVisionaries
Thanks, Anders. There's no particular rush. I am also willing to hack at
figuring it all out. It just seems a tutorial or documentation would
make things smoother.

An example ...

I've found that I can advance into a large (more than an hour) video to
the point I want to make the start point of my clip, but the increments
are quite small, so that it takes many, many keystrokes to get to the
right spot. Once there, I've not figured out how to lock myself to that
spot, or to create a marker there that I could use to get back to that
spot quickly. For some reason it's very easy to make a mistake while
hacking and find myself back at the beginning. Given the small
time increments I've discovered so far, that's rather discouraging.

Hi!
Well, twisted wave is actually more simple then Amadeus pro.
So yes I guess its what you want.
Sadly I don’t know any good tutorial for this.
But I can help you look for one if you like?
When do you need that tutorial?
Bless.

Seeking a TwistedWave Tutorial

2023-04-03 Thread 'Janina Sajka' via MacVisionaries
Dear All:

The description of the $99 MacOS version of TwistedWave seems to do what
I need. I really have one use for such a tool:

* I need to be able to select a range of content in a .mp4 or .mkv
* file and copy it all into a new file, including the full
* richness of the audio plus whatever video comes with.

* Ideally, I should then be able to apply a fade-in and fade-out
*   to the clip.

Needless to say, I need to do this all with keyboard commands.

So, is TwistedWave a good choice for this? Something else (like
iMovie?)? And, if so, can you point me to documentation or tutorials
that would help me understand how to use this app?

All suggestions much appreciated.

Janina
