Another irc client you can try is HexChat )formerly XChat). Sure, it’s a full
GUI client, but it does have some nice features that make it a dream to work
with VoiceOver.

Re: Adding A Keyboard?

2021-04-20 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,

First make sure your languages are listed in System Preferences
Language and Region tab
in the General tab here, you can click on add a preferred language which then
brings up a list of about 400 languages.

After this, I think you need to click on the keyboard preferences just after
removed a preferred language.
The tab label input sources allows you to pick a different keyboard layout.
There is a good portion of this screen dedicated to showing you the layout of
the selected keyboard, but this appears to be completely inaccessible.
There is an add button, and in earlier MacOS, I did add Hebrew keyboard from
this screen. I believe there were three different layouts of hebrew keyboards.
Good Luck!

Re: Mac OS Big Sur Mission Center and command+tab

2021-04-20 Thread Brad Snyder
Mac is different from Windows.
1. You can use CMD + Tab, to switch between open applications.
2. You can use CMD + Accent, or CMD + Shift + Accent, to switch between open
windows within the same application.
3. You can use CTRL + Tab, or CTRL + shift + Tab, to switch between Tabs in an
application window.
4. I don’t use multiple desktops, but if memory serves me correctly, you can
use CTRL + Left or Right arrow keys, to switch between desktops.
5. Additionally, I believe that when an app is running in full screen mode,
that is a single desktop. Using CTRL + Left or Right arrow key, will switch
between applications running in full screen, and the other running apps, aka
Desktops.
6. If I have any of this wrong, I am sure someone will correct me.

Hi All,

I had a question about Mission Control and Mac Big Sur. Is it possible to have
cmd+tab just switch between windows in the currently active (space), virtual

In windows, I can alt+tab, and if I have mail, and chrome open in desktop1,
and outlook and word in desktop2, alt+tab will just toggle me between mail and
chrome, and when I switch to desktop2, it’ll toggle me between outlook and word.

Right now, I can put apps in different spaces, but when I cmd+tab it switches
me through all open tabs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I mis spoke.
The only way to switch to a different window within a desktop is to press
control-up, move vo to the window in question and vo-space. I don’t think you
can actually switch between running apps with spaces.

Mac OS Big Sur Mission Center and command+tab

2021-04-20 Thread Juan Hernandez
Hi All,

I had a question about Mission Control and Mac Big Sur. Is it possible to have
cmd+tab just switch between windows in the currently active (space), virtual
desktop?

In windows, I can alt+tab, and if I have mail, and chrome open in desktop1,
and outlook and word in desktop2, alt+tab will just toggle me between mail and
chrome, and when I switch to desktop2, it’ll toggle me between outlook and word.

Right now, I can put apps in different spaces, but when I cmd+tab it switches
me through all open tabs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Juan

RE: Anyone running Big Sur on a 2013 Macbook Air?

2021-04-20 Thread juanhernandez98
How did you get Big Sur on that macbook? I have a late 2013 iMac, fully spect
out for the time, 32gb ram, and 1tb fusion drive with a i7 quad core cpu
running at 3.5ghz. I can't get big sur to come up in software updates, and
when I try to get it from the app store it says it can't find the right version
of the installer or something like that.

Thanks, Janina. Sounds like the same machine I have, so this is good to hear.
