vo-shift-PageDown reads next.
vo-shift-PageUp reads previous.
I seem to be unable to get any of these to work in textedit. I'm wondering if
anyone else has been able to use these functions

I've had very good luck with the Arctic p311 headset . It can pair
automatically.
There are also audible tones that will let you know when it is connecting or
when the battery is too low.

option that can't receive a message.
