Hi Scott,
I did some testing with Think Outside Stowaway Keyboard. First, with
an iPhone 4 (borrowed for the testing), if you paired the keyboard,
typed notes, etc. and then closed the keyboard (turning it off), it
does seem to re-establish a connection when the keyboard is just
opened
Hi Esther, this is curious and I wonder why this is. Very annoying only if you
let it turn itself off after 3 minutes. So, for now the only thing to do is tap
something now and then to keep the connection up.
I appreciate confirmation of this issue and well it is what it is. SOmething I
might
Hi Ester,
Just a comment re the Think Outside keyboard: I am using it with my iPhone
and find that with the iPhone 4, at least, there is no need to repair the
bluetooth after breaking the connection. Mine just reconnects as soon as I
touch a key. So this is great!
Thanks for the super
Hello Esther,
The mini BlueTooth keyboard I'm using only has 49 keys. To get the arrow keys,
I have to hold down FN and use r, t, y and u.
The bottom row, from left to right, is shift, FN, Alt, @, Space bar
(double-size key), Windows, Alt, FN, and Shift.
The Windows key appears to have no
Hi Sandy,
I have an iPhone 3GS using iOS 4.0.2 . I also have the Think Outside Stowaway
bluetooth keyboard. I have had no problem getting it paired, but I cannot close
it and reopen and press a key to reestablish the connection. I am always forced
to put the keyboard into pairing mode via
Hi Chris,
First of all, I must apologise if my message appears both at the top and
the bottom of this thread, I forgot to move the insertion point to the top.
I discovered from a little researching on the net that only the iPhone 4
will hold the bluetooth pairing. Hopefully, this will
Sandy,
This seems rather odd considering the fact regardless of the iPHone, the
software should be the same. This is rather interesting. I had not found this
information when searching the net, but then that could be a result of using
the incorrect search terms. So, just to confirm, do you
Hi Chris and Anne,
Yes, mine is a Think Outside keyboard of the Stowaway variety. I found a
forum full of iPhone and think outside keyboard users. Well, after a lot of
trial and error, it was discovered that those with the new iPhone 4 phones had
no issues with maintaining the bluetooth

The only thing you can do with a bluetooth keyboard on the iPhone is enter text
into a text field. Sadly you can't control the phone or move around the non
text fields. This is a real shame as I expected to be able to use the iPhone
the same way I use my Mac with a keyboard. My keyboard does

Hi Kev,
I don't have a bt keyboard on my IPod. But from what others who do have them
have said, the answer to your question about navigation on the IPhone is no.
The keyboard's functionality seems to be limited to working within a text edit
area and some media functionality. You can't move from
