Does MS office 2016 work well with VoiceOver? I have office 2011 at the moment
and it doesn't work very well with voiceover. To the point of it's not useful
at all. Is there anyway I can make word work better on my Mac? I'm not sure if
there are any kind of script or anything I can insta

Maybe for the next IOS they need to have a bridge since VO and Siri create a
feedback loop just like Jaws and Dragon do if you don't have JSAY or the Old
versions of Kurzweil and JAWS when you had to shut off the speech or it
crashed. I would let apple know this happens often so they can fix it.

I don't think it happens as often but it still happens. I update when my Mac
tells me an update is available so I am guessing that I am running the latest
version. I would say when my VO does that I find turning it off and then on
works to stop it. Some sites it does it more than others.

I use todo list because it works well with VO, can set reminders and can run in
the background. I have not ever tried to find if it is available for iPhone or
not. I don't remember the exact price but it was relatively in expensive. Hope

I wish they would fix the Safari busy issue. and update iWork's especially
pages so it would read the whole document without constantly stopping at the
end of every pager. It disrupts reading. Other than that I don't really have

When I used Blackboard with my Mac I used Omniweb since safari would
continuously say busy and just gave me a lot of trouble. It worked much better
in Omniweb.I would suggest you try that and see if it works better. If you are

Have you tried the vo and F to search for the start of the page such as
searching for sort. Sometimes that works. If not what about setting the rotor
for static text and using VO and U to see if it would pick it up that way. It'd
be a bit of a pain but it might work.

VO is acting really odd on my MBP today. It has stopped talking all the sudden
three different times. I had to restart it and then it was fine. Anyone got

Learning Ally's is called the RFB&D reader. There is a version that reads all
daisy files such as bookshare but it costs more and I think you have to be a

I switched to mac in August. I was greatly surprised when VO read the PDF
document I had to download for one of my classes. JAWS never did that or didn't
do it without a ton of work on my part.The only thing VO gives me issues with
is charts in Pages.

I am using pages and I really don't think much of its accessibility issues. It
works for simple things it just sometimes I really have to fiddle with it to
get it to read things to me.
I think that's the1 of the 2 thing I miss about the PC is Word, for everything
else my mac is awesome.

I see what you mean. There is a difference in something being accessible and
being easy and quick for people to use in an equal fashion to sighted people.
Yes we can type on the keyboard but it is not quick, or that easy. It takes
time and can be frustrating. I hope they at least think it over.
You could use Pages or Bean or if you want something simpler try text edit.

I have used the dictation feature to dictate documents. However it can be kind
of frustrating because it tends to make mistakes so you always have to read
what you've written. When I was doing my internship for college I was using the

more then text edit can give me as far as features and text edit for the simple
documents that don't require a lot of features. I use being mostly for reading
documents because pages tends to stop each page

I have an epson stylus 420 and it is a printer scanner combo that is wireless.
I use it with ABBYY fine reader express and it works wirelessly. Not sure if
you can scan to email wirelessly or not. I never tried it because I really
don't need that specific feature.

I have the same problem. Voiceover is extremely loud but the alarm is pretty
soft. Luckily I am an extremely light sleeper so I don't have any problems.
Just wish voiceover wasn't so loud.
