First, sorry if this is a known issue - I did look through the last couple
months' archives but I don't usually keep up with the list traffic.
I recently upgraded to the latest test build - 5890, I think, and just today
upgraded to 5895.I am not sure what I was running before 5890, but it

posting, of course) that I I - unusually - have my work laptop with

Using the View>Correspondence Mode changes the 3 Pane display to show
the subject without dropdown threading but similarly group by thread.
I think that would be better if it was somehow back in the dropdown

OUCH.
I used to use built in menu command in Mail for moving good mail to a
server archive mailbox. Now I use MailMate (as a group ⌘ +U to mark as
read, then MM menu command, Archive). Works every time.
No way I’ll ever go back to manually sorting/moving stuff around in

This isn't unlike what I used to do, with Mail archiving stuff offline.
One day I moved a load of 'sent' mails from several years before into an
archive (about 18 months' worth) - simply moving them from one folder to
another - and Mail *re-sent them all*. Cue many confused colleagues.

Hi All,
With all the recent changes in the latest Test Build (above numbered),
how are you using threading and how is it envisioned in an example in a
smart Mailbox such as Mailing Lists where message boards can be
collected (as an example, this list, which I call MailMate Users).

Jason,
Oh well. Good to send the info anyway. Good luck. Sorry I couldn’t be
of more assistance.
FWIW, my set up in MM is to use it on the machine I use for
correspondence and use Mail on my workhorse/backup server (MacMini M1
2020). Use Mail with SpamSieve running 24x7 to filter all my
Thanks. Unfortunately it's not that simple as the MBA only has two of
five accounts set up - the Mac Mini is my main workhorse.
I've submitted a ticket (I think - it immediately said it was marked as
spam so I'm going to give it a few minutes to see if it shows up in the
tracker nonetheless!)
Hi Jason,
Don’t see where/if you advised what version you are using or if you
use Test Builds at all. MM Test Build were just updated (r5895). Release
builds occur far less frequently.
As to your reality check, I don’t think you can expect MM to do
anything except delete an email on the
I experienced the same problem with MM and Preside about a year ago, and
I solved it (after multiple unsuccessful attempts) by reinstalling
Preside on my iPhone.

Hi folks,
Before I submit a full bug report, a reality check? I've been using MM for
years and this has not occurred before. I noticed yesterday that after clearing
out my inbox (deleting, filing), they were all still there on my phone emailer
(Preside). That has persisted across a restart. If
