of the Ravenna Cosmography. There is a unit that approximates 0.91 degrees that I have been unable to equate with the various stadia and their multiples. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with a multiple of Roman miles, either. Is there any evidence of a degree peculiar to the Roman Empire? -- Tom
