I am having the same problem after reinstalling the whole system (Windows NT
4.0, SP6). I think it has something to do with Office 2000 installed,
because this error didn't appear before, with Office 97.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Nilmini,
New Caledonia has been a French Overseas Territory (TOM) since 1946. It was
photogrammetrically mapped in 1954 and again in 1987. At those times the
coordinate systems were based on the International ellipsoid, UTM Grid,
since then collectively called IGN 72. They are now on the ITRF
I have an Access Db that has point coordinates
entered in partial UTM(ie /). I have been able to convert those into
columns of the full UTM ie 17 02 55 55 and 3866
66...
You know the next question... How do I get them
into D.D for MI pro???

Thanks firstly to Tom Manson and Patrick Phillips
If you open a workspace the order of layers is determined from the 'map
from ...' statement
If you just open a load of tables in Mi it puts them in a quasi logical
order (points on top lines next then polygons)
as for the layer ids. the topmost
Does anyone know if you can bring a Geotiff into MapX? I know you can in Pro, but was
not sure about MapX.
Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Mappers:
I am looking for streets and demographics
for
the US Virgin Islands and Jamaica.
Geoscape.com lists detailed streets for
Jamaica.
Does the US Census operate in the Virgin
Islands?
(census.gov is innacessible at the
moment.)
I will summarize..
Thanks,
Eric
Listers,
A bit off topic, but does anyone know of some good websites that cover web
design? I'm supposed to be putting together our company site (eventually
with maps), and could use some pointers and ideas. It's just going to be an
information website - no e-commerce until someone figures out
I am looking for a quick source for zip code area map for the state of

Pat Using Terrain Navigator topo map software I can convert back and
forth for any point. ie
UTM coordinates 17 02 64 44E
39 05 37N
converts to Lat 35 15 44.93 Long 083 35 37.37 which I then know how to
convert it to D.D for MI.

Hi folks -
Having just been through this, I may have a solution, although a bit
kludgey. I had ArcInfo/ArcView grid files which I needed to display in MI.
My first thought was convert to shapefile in AV spatial analyst and import
into MI but there were a few problems. First, the shapefile
Hello all,
I'm trying to create a thematic for a table. There are 4 data columns with
values of 0 or 1 in each. I would like to create a pie for each site
displaying portions of the pie representative of the columns( i.e. if one
site has all 1's, then there would be 4 equal slices
Stupid me...I forgot to click off the Graduated option, which had distorted
the view, and confused me! Thanks!

I agree that webmonkey is one of the best. I also like
http://htmlgoodies.earthweb.com and the world wide web (
http://www.w3.org ) consortium page can also be useful.
Have fun.
