Dear MI Gurus,
This problem makes me go mad...
When I do an onscreen digitization in MapInfo 5,5.5

MI-L'ers,
A colleague of mine was trying to draw a line (using the line tool) from one
point to another. The problem was, MI drew the line from the centre
outwards, much like the radius/marquee select tool. It was almost as if it
wanted to draw a circle but only with a line. All very strange.
Hello,
Is anyone familiar with a product called CableCad. What I am looking for is
what formats can the data be exported to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi -
That's the behaviour of a Ctrl-drag with the line tool. Was any other
application displaying symptoms of Ctrl-Click behaviour? When you say a
reboot of MI, do mean a reboot of the machine or a restart of MI? What o/s?

Hi List,
Has anyone compiled a MapBasic MBX that directly uses socket
technology to transfer data between applications? I have a feeling it
may be possible through the Microsoft ws*.dll's, however after some
investigation, I'm still not sure.

I am very careful when designing my dialogs to have the cleanest display as
possible. I have a 1024x768 15 in. monitor. When my application is used on a
different monitor, the dialogs have a tendency of being almost all garbled
up. It is more than a question of screen definition; the last test I

Thanks to all that responded. The key came from Litea Biukoto. Even
mapinfo tech support did not pick up on this. Table/Update will not work on

the character string is enclosed in "". Thanks again to all.

Hassan,
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Data acquisition directly on the
field"? I've used it on a laptop computer in the field under fairly rugged
conditions, but that's more a function of the laptop than the software. I've
also downloaded data from magnetometers, and received
