Check out Images+ at www.geobasemap.com. Through the maps and links
database we support hot-links from map objects to MapInfo mappers,
browsers, or processes in external applications - word, excel, Microsoft
Access forms etc.

Are you using version 4.5 or earlier? Try setting the Control Panel System
Date settings - Short Date - to a 4 digit year format.

I've just published a paper at http://www.ramarama.freeserve.co.uk
its my dissertation from an Msc in GIS from last

it explores the possibilities that mapping can
offer in a community environment,
and basically i'm saying that mapping provides an

Sharon,
It is quite possible that ODBC support isn't installed. It is a real pain
when supporting MapInfo because the installation of ODBC support is separate
from the rest of the program.
On the CD (MI5) MI5 program files are installed from:-

I am in process to upgrade my computer and our systems analyst asked if MI uses
all dual processor advantages. Is MI coded to use the dual processor
configuration? What would be the advantage if compared with P II high end cycle?

I have a question for the list. I have a geocoded table of students and I
want to query out the students who came into the district after Nov 25, 1998

this question (query the data), but continue to get things like
Does anyone know if there are labelling changes coming in a future edition

Sorry Jacques.,
I would stick with my original comments that if you are getting slivers
from combining adjacent polygons in the same table, then there are
definitately problems in the data that need fixing. These errors are a
result of common boundaries not matching exactly. Building a
I just had a question about coordinate convertions. For converting coordinates,
lets say from Nad27 to Nad83 for example, should one use a conversion program
such as Tralaine or can you get the same results by simply using MapInfo? Are
there any disadvantages converting coordinates using MapInfo?
Hi
I agree with Jacques, but there is a third solution - it's to use the raster
posibillities in Vertical Mapper, which can deal with fairly large grids (a
more sofisticated cell structure) and can make dynamic buffers (a grid where
the cell value tells about the distance to other objecvts). In
Hi Adrian, and other mappers.
Sorry I can't help on the actual proviewer product, but I have just
purchased a 10 user licence pack (first of many) of a new product called GIS
MapViewer. Developed by ICL in response from the UK Local Government GIS
User Group. It uses MapX and visual basic. You
