You dont take anything apart. at the bare minimum, wipe the gear ands
shaft clean with acetone or similar solvent. then put a drop of epoxy in
with a toothpick so it makes contact with the side of the gear and covers
the shaft. All you are trying to do is increase the resistance to slippage

I was thinking...in my fervor to get my AC working this spring (after
having replaced all my HVAC hoses), I filled the system to the correct
capacity with that Freeze 12 stuff. It works fine...she blows 55-60
degree air...which is okay [I think] considering it's 115+ outside.

a couple more 4 cylinder engines I got a 3.8L V6 from a newer caravan and
installed engine, computer, transmission, etc in the van. Ran great so then

there's only one of them and it's too low and on the wrong side of the car!

Yes, you MUST evacuate before charging, else the air causes low
capacity problems.
You can also get ice from water vapor in the expansion valve, or worse,
