If you go earlier than about 1982, you'll find you can't do VIN checks,
because before then the VINs don't use the modern system. For example,

or 2 parking lot dings on nice original paint. The seats are perfect and
springy like you'd expect. The mats have been replaced. Everything else shows

After wrestling with this beast for quite some time I thought my troubles where
behind me.
Set the timing to 4* atdc 800 rpm 30* dwell got in put it in reverse, rpm's
fell a bit then it stalled.

i too had a self-cure on my sdl...perhaps there has been devine
intervention...
i had a mysterious diesel leak...wetness below the tubes going into the
pump...wet threads on 2/6 brass fittings...diesel pooling in a small cavity
on a crossmember below (about 1/3 cup of standing diesel)
Idle speed too low (set it in drive) or idle mixture too lean -- you
may need to set it with a CO meter.

but substantially shorten the life of a NEW OM60x.91
Replace your pressure cap and check the tank for leaks at the pressure
cap seat, both are known problems that result in coolant loss. Usually
don't result in cold pressure, but will cause the upper radiator hose
to collaps
