Where do we find the fan clutch operating temperature? (I know - RTFM, but where?). But it has to be more than hot, it has to be _extra_ hot so that the clutch will actually engage. This is in the 100+ degree range on the head temperature, normal operating temperature shouldn't really do it.

You need to remove the door panel and tighten the nuts on the backside--no other way to achieve this. Door panel RR on 124s is a royal PITA. Installation requires you to push, pull, twist and say the magic German curse words all at the same time. Oh, and try not to break any of the hanger tabs

Gump pulled the no passenger wiper stunt two weeks ago. I tore the front end apart, found no wiper parts under the vent grill, so replaced the painted for shiny metal. Went looking under the dash and traced the actuator thing all the way to behind the cluster, but closer to the firewall.
