I have a ~1966 vintage Blaupunkt (when they were GOOD radios and Solid State while Becker still put a large box of tubes under the dash.) It is standard DIN configuration. It is AM only. I really liked the old Blaupunkt 3-4 band radios. Very high quality, AM/FM/SW. They were 1970 or so.

My only reason for not running XP would be the presence of the dual core processor. The XP kernel does not have the ability to utilize dual processors, so it might throttle the machine somewhat. Otherwise, run XP on it. At least that is relatively stable. We still do it on over 35,000

That brings up another possibility. Memory (RAM) problems can also manifest themselves when the system boots. Fire it up. Push F10 repeatedly until the BIOS screen comes up. Wander around in the BIOS and find the hard drive and memory tests, and run both. If both pass, do an F9 (I think)

Put the cleaner in there with some bb's and swirl it around - bb's will knock stuff off the inside walls of the tank. We used to do that with old bottles we scavenged from the historic old dumps. Bring home and clean up - lots of work, but bb's worked well to get to stuff we could not reach.

It has non-standard wheels! Here I have been looking for tires of the 195/65-15 size, for 6.5 J x 15 H 2 rims. Our E420 has 215/55-16 tires, which of course means it has 16 rims! Now I wonder what width and offset they are. I also wonder if that means pulling a wheel off and looking for

Yes, the ABS makes a strange pulsing noise. A guy I know always disables it for winter. He claims he can control the braking better than the ABS. It has benefits, but you have to learn how to cope with it. I did find out that the ABS on the E420 does work. First time I have had a car
