I'm pretty sure I plugged the converters on my first M112 by running 87 in it and retarding the timing. If you buy Premium, I'm sure the diesel wins hands down. But 21 is less than I ever got in the E320 4x4 wagon, maybe 24mpg in winter with plugged converters, 27-28 in summer. Mitch.

So gas is running about 2.39 for 87 now, diesel is around 3.09 to 3.13.  If the combined MPG is 26 for the 210 E300 turbo, and 21 for a E320 gas, at what price point would it be cheaper to run the gas v the diesel assuming you can run 87 in a 112 car?  My math comes up to this over a 400 mile
