The W124 monovalve is not repairable, you must replace it complete. Usually
the seal fails, just like the W123 except that it's a rubber fitting instead of
a diaphragm, but I've also had the coil go bad.
In either case there are not parts, it has to be replaced complete.

I don’t suppose anyone watched the Tony’s. If you did you likely saw a new VW
commercial where it looks like they are using their cheaty mccheaterton phase
as the driving force to go electric, showing a glimpse of a new bus.

The letters are consistent. W is sedan, S is wagon, R is roadster, C is coupe.
There
is no W107, only R/C107. There ought to be a C123, but I'm not sure they ever

Part number prefixes are meaningless for the most part. In many cases they’ll
cross over between chassis numbers over time, so the prefixes are irrelevant at
that point.
That’s like some of my W111 parts having 108 prefixes.

OK - my memory is slipping - it's the R129 that is based on the W124. The
R/C107 is based on the W114/115.
Part numbers. When I owned both a pair of W124s and a C107 I noticed
several 107 part numbers started with 124. When I needed a pair of new rear
axel half shafts, I ordered them from Rusty -
The mono valve requires 12v to keep it closed (heat off). Any disruption to
the current going to the valve (coil) will allow it to burp open (e.g. bad
connection, bad solder joint, etc.) During normal heater operation the valve
is cycled open and closed to regulate temp.

I think you meant that the R129 is based on the 124? I think Dan shared that a
few weeks ago?

And this appears to be somewhat correct - components of the W114 were used to
design the R107.

Sacco and Tomforde, not Vanzeti.
It was designed based on a shortened W124 chassis, as I suspected. It’s very
W124-like in a lot of respects.

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but for years I’ve used the doughnut shaped
magnet in MB automatic transmission pans. I just came across a flat one that
looks like it fits much better and it has a lot more surface area. It’s a
Mercedes part number 220 271 00 98 and costs about $5.00.

If you stare at the issue long enough it does become obvious.
The w113 is of the era of w110/111/112/114/115/116 design class
R107 follows the 108/109 numbering scheme of dart board naming

Make sure all your gutters are unblocked and that the downspouts divert
rainwater away from the foundation! Then regrade with the plastic sheets.
We did this for our leak DC house and it solved all problems - cheaper and
quieter than a noisy sump pump.

Dodge has had a 3.0l diesel since 2013 I think. I drove one in 2014 when we
bought ours, it was nice, drove as well as the 5.7l gasser but I couldn't
justify the extra cost.IIRC the Dodge engine is made by VM Motori and is used
in big trucks in Europe.

Can you explain the basement trick? Ours leaks a bit, I've been planning to dig
around it and lay plastic sheets, also to resculpt the landscape to help the
water run away.More insulation would be a plus too.

I should either install one, or get a new mono valve.
Yesterday I replaced the expansion valve and drier, recharged with Freeze12,
installed clip light leak sealer. Making ice cubes now, but still had the
occasional hot blast. Found the better radiator hose pincher, put that on the
heater
That would be useful in Florida.
