One thing to remember with the halogen bulbs is you aren't supposed to touch
them bare handed. The oils from your fingers get on the glass and severely
shorten their useful lifespan. I have had silver star ultras last several years
(800-1000 hours).

My moto is that if it goes in my body I won't buy it from Amazon.

Yes, he is. At least he was in late 2018. I "talked" with him about
lights for our Kenworth W900 (with
I really liked the output and color of the Silver Star and Silver Star Ultras,
but as you mentioned, I found the useful lives of these pretty lousy. At nearly
$30/pair it was tough to justify replacing them on a regular basis.

Good. I doubt they have counterfeiters in their supply chain.

The computer on those cars does what it can to help when they are overheated.
As far as non-mechanically inclined children go, they drive Toyota's. I got
tired of semi classic, but rusty benzes getting destroyed.

I have been buying Orsam-Sylvania H7 (halogen) bulbs from O’Reilly’s. They

Oldest boy was driving the Focus home tonight. Temperature got hot. He
continued to drive. Temperature got hotter. He stopped and put what
water he had in the reservoir (maybe a quart). He noted steam escaping
from the left hand side of the engine. He got back in and drove home.
I go out to try

Good point. I know there are counterfeit OSRAM/Sylvania bulbs out there,

Some LEDs try to approximate filament bulbs, and those which allow you
to rotate them for best orientation are coming closer than ever, but
none of them really focus right with reflector/lens made for hot
filament bulbs.
My ’06 E320 CDI has gone through a number of the H7 headlamp bulbs in my
120,000+ miles of use. Each H7 bulb only lasts for some tens or at most a
couple hundred hours. I notice there are some LED H7 bulbs now available
for reasonable prices. Original H7 halogen bulbs cost $10 to $20 and some

I don't think marriage implies that her head is either empty or full.
A mockumentary comedian would never marry an empty headed actress?

Looks like a E320 is 7.5x16ET41 with 66.6mm center
https://www.wheel-size.com/size/mercedes/e-class/2000/
An E250 can be 7x15ET37 with probably the same suspension
A W202 can have 7x15ET37 x 66.6.
That's where I'd look for cheap wheels.

So our E320 (2000, 4wd) is finally ready to take over for the X5, but I still

I have been driving the $675ML500 (well, $700 now that I spent $25 on a
new ignition switch) a bit the last few days and I concur. It is bouncy

tall, short wheelbase. On smooth roads it is not bad but as soon as it

Yeah. That. Or get it for $2500, drive it til it croaks, then dispose of it or
swap in a new engine.
