I looked at the cost of rebuilt air units (or maybe they were new aftermarket, I forget) and a set of 4 was like $1500 I think. This was for the E500 that had the offroad adventure.  Then some time to swap them, which apparently is not too hard.  I suppose it would be worth it for a decent car
