Bahamas got and are getting hit very hard, 18-23 feet will probably wash
over most or all of the islands.
Looks like FL east coast will get plenty of wind and storm surge too.

Looks like FT and I are pretty much in the clear for now. For the next 120
hours:
72% chance of 34kt winds
35% chance of 50kt winds
13% chance of 64kt winds

Glad you're part of it to keep it real, avoid any "The sea is rising

Yes, that is a good one to remember when testing time rolls around. I
suspect that is meant for R12, not R134, unless the car left the factory
with R134.

Right now our forecast is for minor drama and alarm, designed to impress
the tourists and scare off the truly skittish folk, gradually increasing
(especially during primetime viewing hours) to outright panic by Friday
night, with sheer terror for the rest of the weekend and then incredible
tension

This is my understanding of the FSM procedure 83-525.
Was it a sudden and complete loss of refrigerant (and all the oil it was
carrying)? 40 ml plus 10 ml for drier and 10 ml for hose.
Slow leak? 20 + 10 ml.

IIRC, in my '84 2.2 5 speed, I achieved 45 mpg once when I was keeping the
speed down to about 60 mph, on a long country highway drive, not interstate.
I think Jim is right, normal driving will by upper 30's or maybe 40, but
you'll just have to try it and see how it performs.

Do they happen to put a cost on the labor hours required to "brew your
own"? How about addressing the morality of avoiding road taxes that pay
for the roads they drive one?
I know, I know, preaching to the choir, I'll stop now.

Are you saying that's a good thing or a bad thing? I'll bet I can guess
how your SWMBO would answer that...
