scan of the parts book that will show me the relevant pieces?

you're in there you'll see whats wrong. IIRC the lever is
attached to the flap by an allen head bolt which may have loosened over time.

Ya, they're all borked. Kaleb is sending a replacement center
section. The others don't really matter much this time of year.
I pulled the center vents out and got the doors closed so at least
there's no 20 deg gale through the car now.
