I'll bet that's a snow tire on his antler.
Probably a Blizzak. You suppose it's for sale?

If one wanted to put a semi crazy Finn 603 drive train into a lighter,
more nimble chassis, which ones would be good candidates? TR-6 or
GT6+ ???
How light could a stripped out 201 chassis get?
Yes - there would have to be custom springs, lots of welding and
fabrication, but a turbo Diesel
How about a 606 Turbo/IC into a 202? (okay so I'm dreaming given all the
electronics needed to keep a 606 alive and purring)
Didnt they have some C320's? wouldnt that car be a good candidate for a 6
cyl diesel?
-j.
Don,
Why not a C111?

Remember that the engine/tranny assembly weights at least 1000 lbs
--the frame must be able to support it! Very light cars are out of the
question, it would squash a mid-sized US car, let along a TR6!

A W113 with a Finnished OM606/5spd would be my dream sports car.
Also a massaged VW tdi tucked into a Porsche 914 would also do the trick.

Forget the electronics. Use the IP from a 603.
603, 606, and even 302 Windsor have found their way into W201 engine bays,
but serious
Yes, a C111 would be awesome - so would the price tag. This project
has to be able to be accomplished by mere mortals. Probably on a
retirement - fixed - income.
Hacking, welding, re-enforcing, reasonable re-wiring are all OK - I
installed an Olds V-8 (215) in an MGA and drove it 100k miles

Probably around 700 with the aluminum 4sp, flywheel, starter, etc.

Good point. Not much you can do with that engine that you
can't do better with a OM601 - 5speed combo. (some might claim
there's no point in using a 601 when there are 604s out there)

bad it's not a bio-diesel engine.

Let's go flying some day, Don. I am really good at upside down and
carrier landings.
