Just to close the loop I tried Netflix, full screen (okay, 10 at
native resolution, but still :), on the 10v this morning, and had no

The IBM T-Series, which I deployed and used at IBM for many years was about
the most bulletproof laptops of it's time. The -p series (T4Xp or T6Xp
machines) have better graphics, but, in general, a workhorse.
You can buy them at the IBM Employee Purchase Program website,

We have Dell desktops and HP Tablet PCs at work. I've run hardware repair

failure rate than those that sit on a desk. I found that the Dells fail

The Atom is a low-power CPU developed by Intel for portable devices
where battery life is a higher concern than raw performance. They tend
to have about half the performance of a Celeron
Atom is a partially crippled chip. More akin to the early pentium
and 486 than the newer architecture. Not really bad, just half the
ability of a Centrino or mobile CPU used in laptops. Really designed
more for smartphone usage. Got picked up for low cost netbook and
laptop usage
