A quick google search seems to indicate that a lot of the new ones have
power steering.
Don't know that I would worry about getting one with tracks instead of
tires.
Get chains and it should be fine.
The tires on the newer ones are generally larger than they were on the
older ones that helps.

I think this may be the better solution. You can hire a lot of kids
to shovel for the $2,000+ they want for a tracked snowblower.
