Piffle! Getting the dash out is simple. Time intense, but simple.
If the car is getting crushed, you do not need to save the bits that
poke through the dash, just whack them off and go to town. What takes
time is not destroying everything in your path as you remove or re-
install the
The porcine influenza has struck me down...
But my experience with the dash replacement was pretty simple to do.
If you are doing a quick and dirty, just get the stuff out of the way
and pay no heed to where it went on your donor. Maybe pay attention
enough so that when you do the

I've replaced the fan on a W115 a little over 20 years ago. I've also
removed dashs from W123s ans W201s.
The W115 was by far the worst.
I even tried to drive the W115 without the dash and I
Yabbut how do you get to them?

Same as a 107, then.

The thought of removing the dash on a W114/115 is blood-curdling.
Hey, it can't be _that_ bad! It's just a dash fer cryin
out loud. I've RR'd 107 dashes more than I'd like, and
R'd an uncracked 123 once at the junkyard. (Still hanging
in my garage.)
I guess the wood will be crushed with

In fact, what better way to learn how to do it than
on a car in the junkyard? What's the worst that can
happen?

Hi gang,
Saw a nice '71 250 at the PnP with perfect zebra wood (although it needs
varnish). Is there a way to remove the wood without destroying it like you can
on a 108, or is the 114/115 wood glued to the dash like the later cars?
Any insights would be much appreciated.
D.
The wood dash CAN be removed, although I am told it pays to have hands the
size of kitten paws.

I believe if you remove the dash you can then access all
the little twist ears that poke through it that attach
the metal strips to which the wood is glued.
