I didn't have much trouble with the triple SU's - and I did finish
tuning them by hand/ear - it was the 8 hours flat rate to set the
valves that always got me! Maybe steel doesn't wear in England.

Don't forget about the MGB GT V8 - not exported to USA buy some made it
here. There are also some roadsters converted using the same Rover 3.5L
Alum V8 used in many English cars. But I don't believe they overheated -

Well, the 3.5L Alum V8 (Olds in my case) in my MGA did over heat
coming off the highway into town in the summer - and running the
heaters all summer was not fun for the feet. But - that was because
the center of the fan (with shortened blades) was about even with the
