For my $.02: 870 is hard to beat. I had a winchester 1200 from the late 60s. Everyone poo-pooed them but I never had a problem. Winchester Model 12 was always the standard of comparison, but they are pricey. If I were going to buy a shotgun now, I'd buy an 870. Relatively cheap and
