That's where the big difference between the hand impact and the air or electric guns comes in. With the hand impact every time you hit with the hammer the bit is forced into the screw head and that alone will make it hold onto the screw much better. those things were a required tool for

For not a lot more, you can get a dewalt battery impact or an air impact wrench. Impact wrench is the way to go. I've beat on the hand impact wrenches. In the 60s and 70s, if you had a hondog motorsickle, the hand impact and a 2 lb hammer were the first 2 tools you needed. Hondogs and a

Get replacements on hand and drill the old ones out. They’re stupidly soft for some weird reason. My driver’s door strike can loose without effort, but in the interim I was going to swap the rear onto the driver’s door until the replacement came. The rear door bolts all tried to round off,

As I mentioned in a later post, the little plastic tab on the bottom was missing. This appears to trigger the latch to “grab” and close, hence the having to slam the door to get it to latch. I replaced the strike with the new one before I left for work yesterday. Took all of about two

A work-around that worked for me is this: Instead of just giving the open door a shove, keep a hold of the handle and put some "close" pressure on the door just as it closes. It sounds funky but it's better than multiple slams. > -Original Message- > From: Dan Penoff via Mercedes >
