around, but don't ask MB for paper copies, you are about 20 years too
late. I snagged a set of paper 123 books in near mint condition
quite a few years ago. 124, 126 and later are all on fische or cd AFIK.

reality is all you will be pulling is the rubber dampening ring, the
harmonic balancer will stay in place. It is quite simple. Remove
radiator. 1/2 hour max. Remove pulley for the belts then remove the

The balancer and the rubber dampening ring are two very different
parts. The balancer is still held on with the large 27mm bolt. The
dampener ring is held on by the six crank pulley bolts. Very similar to
a om617a. The dampener ring is often referred to as the harmonic
balancer by mistake.

Here's a pic of the MAC 5-15mm set.
They all have the same base diameter.
The 9mm is straight walled, the smaller ones are necked down at the hex, the

I believe the intermediate stage was microfiche, and unfortunately,
the cds were made form the fisches rather than form the paper books
for the older cars. The 124 cds seem to be better, but still not as
good as the books.
