In a 2.5 turbo, any vacuum leak, especially under the hood, will lower
power/boost.

why the actuator works in the lock position. If my theory is correct, the

strip was being RUBBED off by other cars, leaving some part of it dangling. My

Exactly..The heater allows the proper viscosity to get the correct spray
pattern and therefore complete combustion. A bigger nozzle will just add
more unburnt fuel in a trickle if it's not thin enough.

With the correct ratio differential, those will mark redline in their
respective gears (fourth gear doesn't have a mark).
It varies. The Frankenheap (71 200D Euro) has another single tick
at about 85 MPH, redline in top gear.
