If a door has a keyhole, then it should both lock and unlock via that door. If the OM601 engine is anything like my OM603, then you shouldn't have much deflection at all in your serpentine belt. I'd look to the tensioner pivot to see if it's sitting at an angle to the timing chain cover. On

A PITA more than difficult, it's a job to get all the short hydraulic lines back in place without stripping the fittings. Accumulators were about $100 each when I did mine, but that's a few years back. Takes a couple hours to do, no more if you have a lift. Peter
