I did the exact same thing on My 2003 Outback about 3 weeks ago but I did not use the impact, I did it with the breaker bar. The car is from Chicago so I attributed it to corrosion and low grade asian materials. I drilled and tapped and replaced the bolt. Were you R R'ing the CV? Steve On Tue,

This one was from PA - wheel bearing needs replacing. Hopefully Kroil will make bolt removal easy so I don't need a ball joint (if the blue wrench is needed). The shop said maybe just leave it since all I did was twist the head off. I may and worry about it when I need a ball joint. Not

The wiring was slower to self destruct in the Diesels, but yes, 94-95 for sure, and I think 96. I don't remember the year range. Herr Doktor originally said it didn't affect Diesels, but later moderated his stance, and said that in a Diesel, it took longer for the insulation to self
