Seized compressor is not unheard off. What stymies me is the frozen clutch. Bought the '82 in '94 for $ 2,500. Huge investment. 1 motor (entirely my fault), 1 tranny + misc. repairs later (starter, steering and suspension, A/C, etc.) I now have less than maybe $ 8,000 in it. That boils down to $ 500/year or 2 months worth of car payments/year for a daily driver. -- Hans N
