persists with a second IP, I would be very suspicious of the installer -
doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result! Now, it is
possible that you have two defective IPs, I've had that with alternators
from FLAPS,

lever (with a hole) at the bottom of the shifter and a similar lever on the
transmission. Each of these holes has a nylon grommet to prevent buzz
between the levers and the round-ended shaft that connects the two levers.
If you read the ad copy, it was imported form Germany to BC a few years back,
or so it seems.
