need the higher-powered donuts, the ones that are iron-fortified.

In the early '60s, my Dad went to the Yukon, OK aircraft salvage yard and
bought two Twin Beech fuselages to make a camper for his pickup. While he
was negotiating those, I was crawling around a scrap P-38 - minus the
engines (which were in another pile). I pestered Dad to buy it for my
birthday,
I got tired of replacing those donuts, and replaced them with coat hanger
wire first, but that rattled - very un-Mercedes like. I then started using
Dacron cord, ~ 1/8th inch, IIRC. It doesn't rattle, doesn't melt, and
doesn't stretch. It is sold to the ham community for guying antenna masts.
