We hauled a M117 cast iron complete engine in a Plymouth Voyager minivan
once. We loaded and unloaded it with engine hoists, and Curt is correct -
there is very little room for the lifting arm - it has to be chained to the
engine as low as possible. Rent a truck or trailer if you have a hitch.

A small UHaul might even be a good choice for something like this, the little
Toyota based ones have a really low deck height.
I suspect the reason he doesn't want to put it in the wagon is the difficulty
in getting it back out...

We had a Harbor Freight battery charger, a larger one, 10a maybe, at camp. A
couple years ago during a run of bad weather I was running the generator and
that charger to top up the batteries. Suddenly the generator lugged down like
it was under really heavy load. I went outside and the charger
I wouldn't do it. You can rent a truck, even from Home Depot.
If you have a hitch on the wagon, now would be an excellent
time to get one of those folding trailers. They used to be
pretty cheap. Won't the engine fit inside the wagon?

junkyard and I would like to pick it up next week but all I have to transport
