A couple of quick articles.

One thing I have noticed it the bottom feeder type cars are as cheap or getting 
cheaper than they have been. Everything else is through the roof. I bought some 
mdf for shelving today (3/4 4*8 $25) and I gasped when I saw the price of 
plywood.

Add to your list dye check fluid and a black light. Once you replace O
rings and all the other bits, you will want to pull a vacuum on the system
to see if it is "Tight and sealed" ... dye check will help you find pesky
leaks, like a hose that has broken down.. in fact.. if the system is old,
very likely the flex hoses are the porus kind... new style replacement
hoses are much better.. You might consider replacing hoses while you have
it all opened up.

engine?


But I'm having trouble coming up with a non-dumbass explanation for an

 There was an update where the hours of water was mostly due to the car being 
flat on the ground and little bits of fire continuing to come back for some 
time. They said the 4 hours were basically somebody standing around with a hose 
cooling things off over and over.
I used autopilot on a Tesla 2 years ago, it required you to turn it on, not 
unlike cruise control and if your hands came off the wheel for longer than 20 
or 30 seconds it would kick out. IIRC at some point it would pull over and stop.
I wonder if the driver set the cruise control not realizing that it wasn't 
autopilot. The crash occurred pretty after they set off.

I have wanted a Crown Vic or Mercury Grand Marquis too ever since we had 
a couple of 2011 models as rental cars when we were in Hawaii, but I 
have no place to park another vehicle. I was tempted a couple of times 
recently when some decent looking cars were advertised locally but resisted.


Oddly enough, given this thread,  the Grand Marquis we had on Hawaii had 
a lighter socket that did not work. I was annoyed as I wanted to use the 
GPS and it did not last long without being plugged in. I even bought a 
meter at Wal-Mart and did basic testing to see if I could get it to work 
but did not want to tear into the rental car so never did fix it. The 
car was nice but silver with a gray leather interior so a bit bland.


The Crown Vic we had the following week on Oahu was black with a tan 
leather interior and the lighter socket worked so we were able to use 
the GPS which was helpful as Honolulu was more difficult to navigate in 
than Kailua-Kona and the strip along the coast near it.

going up. Somebody ordered some tires and by the time they came in price had 
gone up $100. They suspect prices of tires will go up quite a bit this summer.
