I was seriously considering a scissors lift in my old garage with a low
clearance. The model I was contemplating had a vertical lift of 45 in.

I have been sort of toying with the idea of looking into a Rotary as they are

My ceiling is 26 feet but the columns are roughly 9ft tall therefore it can be
used in shorter ceiling garages- I don’t know what minimum ceiling height
required is. That’s why Jaime ended up with Mohawk.

Looks like a two-post lift, but I don't see any connection between the two
sides. Is it in the floor, or is there a hoop above the whole thing to link the
two sides?

I had a very astute employee benefits guy explain it to me once that you’ve got
two choices here, but the costs are the same:
1.) You pay up front by paying higher premiums. If you don’t use the services,
you lose some $$.
2.) You pay as you go and pay for what you use, up to the max.

Find myself strangely interested in getting one of these. Not sure what I'd do
with it. Was wondering if it might be good for "prototyping" various types of

Unfortunately, it does have a lot of issues that need resolving. A good example
of how an owner can “maintain” one of these but not take care of it. The
laundry list is pretty long on this one.
