for years by simply topping up the charge each spring. Don't forget to

This morning I put the alternator back together, taking care to clean all
the contacts and ground points. O'Reilley's tested it twice, passed both
times.
My theory (or maybe wishful thinking) is that the voltage regulator
connections were bad. I'm going to install and keep a watchful eye on it

Yesterday I stole away from my Domestic Responsibilities for a few hours to
visit local collections of dead MBs.
The 124-parts Hunting Take:
(1) engine compartment heat shield, between exhaust/turbo area and the
coolant overflow/air filter box area. This aluminum panel has some foil
covered
I've been working hard to get my '87 124 diesel wagon back on the road.
Original #14 head cracked and started mixing coolant into the oil a few
years ago, so I found a used #17 head and started taking things apart...
Fast forward to August 2014. #17 head has been installed, using new MB
head

My wife's '96 Infiniti I30 has about 227k miles now, we may be nearing the
end for this car. Rack and pinion steering needs about $800 in repairs,
mostly labor. Engine and five speed manual transmission are great, body
finally staying to show a little rust, interior is holding up exceptionally
