Bob, Having made a number of moves in the last couple of years, I can tell you that $50/man/hour is about the going rate everywhere. That being said, I’ve found some really good loaders/unloaders using the UHaul web site, where they can post ads and get rated by the customers. I’ve kept the

Part of aging wisely is learning your limits. I’d say move it with your wallet. Moving that shed seems to be pretty black and white. Employing my above advice, we just paid to have an outfit move my MIL from independent living to an assisted living studio 2.5 miles away (forecast highs of

Exactly. Not only that, your time has value, too. Think about how long it would take you to do it, not to mention all of the possibilities where things could go south. -D > On Jul 3, 2022, at 1:44 PM, Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes > wrote: > > That is what I am thinking. Wouldn’t want it

This is something you may be better off transferring the risk for. Unless they will only do it with some sort of hold harmless/waive all liability, it’s worth it. There are all sorts of “what ifs?” when you move it, none of which are very pleasant to consider. Let someone else (who probably

So use a chain and drag it out to where you can get to both sides. Should be easy if it is on skids like most of them. MG Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes wrote: The problem is, there is a fence behind the building so no room to get the tractor behind it. Regardless this project will have to wait

If the tractor can lift one end then you could block that end up like Curt said. Once you have one end high enough the use the tractor to lift the other end and either block it or leave the tractor there and back the trailer under it. A few years ago I lifted a 40' container up and put 22"

Cut some of those oaks down to use as rollers - you need three - two under it and one to shuffle from the rear to the front as it progresses onto the trailer. On Sat, Jul 2, 2022 at 9:04 AM Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > Actually I think it is built on skids. Here

If you try to winch it you'll want skids under it otherwise you'll just rip it apart. If you're going to put skids under it you might as well just lift it and drive the trailer under... A couple 4x6 beams, a bottle jack and some blocking is all you need. 2 bottle jacks would be faster but not

I was thinking maybe I could get the tractor forks under the front and lift it up enough to get the ramps under it, then maybe run a long strap around it at the bottom where the supports are then start winching it up. I think I might be over there today and will measure it to see is wide it is.
