Will be interesting. Also I sent one off at the beginning of the month and so
far I have not heard anything and check has not been cashed yet. Did not have a

You have to believe they do, otherwise that place would be Title Washing
Central.
I’m going to get some popcorn and watch.

There is some mention on the VDMV website about liens but I don't know
if they will check on a 15+yo car or not. I guess I'll find out.

Yeah I did that and filled it out, got a copy of the BoS I got from the
guy and some pics of the VIN plates. $76 for the reg fee plus 6% tax on
NADA trade-in value (they say "clean" but I picked "rough" maybe that
will fly) which is $2400 for rough ($4050 for clean), so $144. I'll

If it has a title in state N, complete with registered lien, and you
obtain a title in state V, what happens if you sell it to somebody who
You don’t have to pay them to do it you do it yourself. Just download the form
from Vermont’s website.

Well I filled out the form, it appears to cost $76 then they will send a
bill for the tax due. I guess if it doesn't work they will just send
the application and check back

I guess this is the form, I might give it a try, the ML is an 05 so
15yo now, apparently anything 15yo or older has some process

You get a plate and registration. They don’t issue titles on cars 15 years or
older so you then take the registration down and transfer it to your state
which will give you a title. I suppose you can just drive it on the Vermont
plates for a year

Can you get a title and a plate at the same time? What does it cost for
both?

I have a bill of sale I wrote up and the guy signed. I was going to do it
through some guy who handles the paperwork but he checked and found the lien
and said he couldn’t do it. I guess I can try.

Just fill out a bill of sale, does not matter what name you put on it,
and get somebody to sign it.

TitleMax has the lien on it. I need to call the guy again and find out
if they have moved on it, done whatever they had to do to track down the
deadbeat lendee, or are willing to give it up. If they give up on it
then I need to find a tame mechanic to get a hold on it for 30d then
they can
If you foster it for a year they should let you adopt the car and give you
all the papers.
