Bid price doubled toward the end of the auction to $5750 due to furious
competition. I don't feel so bad now.

There may be trouble in minds of bidders over the DJetronic system. Very
fiddly if touched by an idiot and there is diminished stock of people able to
set the early electronic injection right. That and the rarity of new injectors
with attendant high cost. I scored the last six that the CC had
For the conservation hunt (specifically to remove snow geese) you don't need
one, just need a hunting license in some state. You also don't need a federal
waterfowl stamp although I've got one anyway.
During the conservation hunt there are no limits on geese shot, no limit on
shells in the gun

I'm thinking about a trip to Arkansas next year for the snow goose
conservation hunt. Looks like just under 1500 miles each way, about 48 hours of
driving total round trip. Probably do it in 2 days each way with a friend.
I should look into flying too, not sure how much the airline would charge

What is the big risk, and how much holiday time to you get? A drive
across country in a car like that sounds to me like a great holiday. I
drove from Winnipeg, to Minneapolis, to Chicago, to Mansfield, Ohio and
back in July last summer and enjoyed it all. I hadn't done a long road
trip in many
I'm not that much of a risk taker plus I have a day job.

You are not serious. If you truly wanted it, you would buy it, fly out
to get it, and enjoy the drive back home.

I think 380s don’t get much love anyway, much like the W114s. I’ve always
thought they were an easy way into the R107 chassis as long as you avoided the
single row chain models.

Yeah, that's a nicely preserved car. Maybe gray market is a turn off for
those seeking collectability?

I don't normally like the chrome wheel arches but with that red everything
really pops.
I have a soft spot for 116 cars.
