First ones I ever did on one of these engines. I was scared to do them, but the
few that gave me difficulty came out well with some very careful “back and
forth” work on them as well as soaking with Kroil in advance for about a week.

Beru has always been the gold standard, but they can be difficult to source.

I know I did a complete set and they were Bosch. Later on I was told that
modern Bosch GPs were lacking in quality and that Beru were considered far
better and longer lasting.
I used antiseize on them and reamed them.

Ah, well there's been at least two glow plug jobs recently then, so that's
good, probably won't have any stuck glow plugs.

I think Pierre has an opinion on that, you can probably guess.
His advice was too make sure you got the proper manifold o-rings for the GM
compressor, they have some metal in them.
I think you can get standard GM compressor and flip the rear cap around to make
the oil flow correct for the upsid
I did the glow plugs on that car, but unfortunately I used Bosch. I have
learned since that they are suboptimal.
Kleb’s just miffed because I sold you the car and he missed out on the deal.

Maybe I should follow your lead and buy some jalopy from Hoovie?
The AC was not working and I knew that going into the deal.
But now that you mention it, one of the glow plugs has died, so I need to do
that job now. Dan's son or the previous owner had just paid for that job,
there was a rece
That would be the "KlimaKit" conversion? Are there any others?
Anyone have any experience with the Nissens compressors?
